Dancin at the Palais | A3 Risograph Print
£20.00
A lovingly designed typographic Riso print celebrating the legendary Dundee dance hall, the Palais. A tribute to one of Dundee's most cherished venues from bygone years – this print is a celebration of the old dance hall and music venue. Taking inspiration from old ads and music posters, this print is a re-imagination of those nostalgic and dazzling typographic designs.
The Palais opened in the 1920s, creating a dancing boom amongst the people of Dundee. In the 60s it was one of the best places to see live music, playing host to the likes of David Bowie, Bee Gees, Lulu and the Hollies. Sadly in the 80s a devastating fire burned the iconic venue to the ground, leaving Dundonians to fondly remember it in its glory days.
Printed in beautiful medium blue and bright red inks. Printed by the lovely folk at Yalla Riso on quality Oatmeal 300gsm paper.
*Please note that due to the nature of this Risograph printing, there may be slight differences in the registration of the two colours.
